As you're well aware, the coronavirus / Covid-19 is seemingly expanding rapidly across the globe, and along with it, a lot of fear & panic. It's getting pretty intense- for instance, places are selling out of toilet paper because people are stockpiling it, prepping for the worst possible outcome.
Don't get me wrong, we certainly need to be cautious (see the WHO's protective advice here), but we are literally surrounded by viruses and bacteria...everywhere, everyday. While this current situation might be setting off some fears, it also brings us a chance to shift our awareness & energy into strengthening our immune system.
One way to do that is with acupuncture! Specific point combinations help to boost immune function, plus its a great way to relax & unwind your frazzled nervous system! Come on in and see me...
Other great ways to boost immunity include through healthy diet (including herbal medicines), exercise, and meditation.
Avoid inflammatory foods (dairy, gluten, sugar, alcohol, processed foods), stay well-hydrated & eat as clean as possible (fresh, organic, light meals).
Mushroom medicines are phenomenal at enhancing immune function! Find tinctures at your local market, or check out my Friend Rae of @GroundCulturePDX
Stay active! This keeps your blood moving, lymph flowing, helping your body to increase resistance to illness. Go out in the forest & breathe in the trees! Pine, cedar, and fir are amazing respiratory healers (you can even make tea from the needles).
Keep calm...deep breathing, meditation, epsom salt soaks. And make sure you're getting adequate rest, our immune system recharges while we sleep.
